If we take care of the moments, the years will take care of themselves.

Be not the slave of your own past. Plunge into the sublime seas, dive deep and swim far, so you shall come back with self-respect, with new power, with an advanced experience that shall explain and overlook the old.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

US essayist & poet (1803 - 1882)

software

With upgraded computers comes new software. I used to use Adobe's Photo deluxe for picture processing. I tried to download the new Adobe Elements program but it didn't download correctly and wasn't installing so I deleted it. I have been using Paint.net. It is a little different from what I'm used to and it does some things much better than the program that I was using. Paint.net is shareware, and so far, I like it very much.

found art

As I stated in other posts I have test driven blogs at all of the major blog sites. Googles search engine has recently revamped the way that they display sites that are located at blog hosts. On almost all of them you have a feature that works similar to a favorite function but you can't cross platform it. If you are on typepad you can add blogs that you come across with the "add me to your typepad people" Squarespace, Blogger and WordPress have similar functions. I had always left the typepeople off of my site but using it last night to add some sites was really easy and convenient. It functions differently than a rss feed so really it is good to have both on your site.

In Google, now you can just search by the host name and it will return the blogs that are hosted there as well as tech articles that have been written about the site. It calls up a much wider section than the ones listed by the providers themselves (?). I don't think that it works with sites that have a domain hosed there but if you have a (someone.typepad.com) blog it will come up. I came across this one on SquareSpace and wanted to share it.

Found art is art that is created by using things that many would consider trash and making something beautiful out of it. It did sort of run through my brain quickly that the trash of local watercolorists may prove fruitful but only for a fleeting second. Here is a screen shot of her site. Rosa Murillo - Making Art Releasing it on Tuesday's.

Rosa I loved the project she did this week. It is constructed from those little metal containers with pate, fish etc. I thought it was very creative and beautiful. What a beautiful little container to send a blessing out in. She also has links to other sites that talk about found art and other artists that create it.
